 Rosie the Riveter -- Mom/Aunt Rita during WWII Maureen remembers her Mom talking about that job with great pride. She also recall a story about her Mom and boxed potatoes - When she was a kid, Maureen remembers finding potatoe peels in the freezer that were kept in another kind of package. Her Mom used to put them in the sink while she was serving dinner and when we said, "Hey, these are boxed!" she would point to the peels in the sink. Maureen still laughs when she thinks of it. (By the way, Uncle Danny did not like boxed potatoes!) |
